Contact Debbi Dillman. - Saturday, March 18, 2pm — Zoom Program: "Batting — Which one to use? Lyn Heilman
Lyn is the President at battingsupersale.com with 16 years' experience as a batting distributor and educator. "Batting: The Secret in the Middle" is Lyn's Batting 101 workshop that dives into the different fibers, manufacturing processes, uses and best case. Her 16 years of machine quilting experience adds to the hints & tips!
There is no charge for the zoom program, however, she does request that participants purchase a batting sampler to have as she talks about the different battings. The sampler has 18" squares of 14 different battings from Hobbs, a 9" sample of Stitch in Time batting, and a folder with samples of Quilter's Dream Batting. It would probably be a good idea to have the batting samples during the class.
Contact LiAnne Kitchen for more information regarding discounted samples. She will need your information prior to Friday, February 17.This information is also available in the January newsletter. - Phyllis Fay, a certified instructor for Deb Tucker's Studio 180 patterns and rulers
March 23 — Lecture How to use Studio 180 tools
March 24 — Star Shadows: Workshop 9-3
This quilt was inspired by one of Judy Martin's quilts, but modified and simplified by using the Wing Clipper tool. Both the pattern and the Wing Clipper are required.
March 25 — Fiesta Workshop: 9-3
This pattern features unique pointy stars that can be easily constructed using the Split Rects ruler. The Corner Pop ruler makes construction of the pieced border simple and accurate. Pull out a layer cake or use other 10" blocks to make this quilt. Three different sizes are included in the pattern, but you can also make just 2 or 3 stars for a table runner. The pattern and rulers are required.
For more information about these classes and rulers, contact Kim Lytle. - Thursday, May 25 — Auction Contact: Marilyn Nash.
